I am pretty sure there were not GOV links in there, tho.
1. I let a province rebel (or my guards get killed)
2. I bring a hero and defeat the defenders
3. At turn start I get a rebellion and the hero has to fight it (not even time to buy guards)
4. If you win, the unrest is set to 50%
Is this a vanilla 'mechanic'?
The fact that other players can get your rebellion is pretty funny though. Could lead to multiplayer shenanigans.
I'd say province recapture should reset the unrest to 50%, or at least 90% to give you a chance to remedy the situation or hire a guard. And not trigger for other players.
But some people might argue it's best to leave it alone.
One thing is certain, I will avoid annoying highly populated orc provinces, 9 orcs with an ogre are no joking matter, especially twice in a row.
Not sure if income from equipped items is also UI bugged for dead heroes.
The Crystal Golem in the screenshot can't activate it.
The Obsidian Golem next to it can activate it.
Both are summoned (level 7).
