Game worked good for about 1hr then it started freezing & bugging out, like whatever queue's I click (for flying, for getting into map etc) it just freezes and bugs out so I cant do anything.
The game is made in the Godot Eninge. Because it is more a strategy game and not a simulation I optimized it for the mouse, so no real flight sim setup is supported, sorry.
Unfortunately, there is also a memory leak hiding somewhere that I have not yet been able to find. In the meantime if it starts to lag please save and restart the game.
Hope you can nevertheless enjoy it!
I would like it if you fixed that, otherwise I will have a hard time turning on this game when I dont play flightsims, I have to re-do all my axis and buttons in said flightsims, because the USB devices are given different addresswhatchamacallit's than what they were identified with prior to that (and we're talking 100+ buttons and axis).
It's a huge dealbreaker for me.
The game won't even let me save, whatever I click = Nothing happens, if it freezes mid-battle I can't return to map or main menu or ANYTHING.
If it happens on the strategy map, I click save button = Nothing happens, it doesn't work.
I'm sure you can fix the memory leak. But unless you can make the game ignore joystick input (So I don't have to disconnect my flight controllers) I'm still stuck here :(
Is there anything I can do, testing-wise, to aid/help fix the simcontroller issue? Again all I want is for the game not to bork Mouse just because I have simcontrollers connected.
Likewise if there's anything I can do, testing-wise, for the memory leak, are there any error logs i can access and provide?
I suspect you wanna get to the bottom of these issues so of course I won't leave a negative review or anything.
I'm willing to forego refund and play past the 2hrs if that's what's required to help out, barring that I'll sit it out until you say you think it's fixed.
I will do a bit of research. Maybe I can find possible causes.
If I were you, I would refund the game first, as I can't say if and when I will be able to fix it.
But if I do, I'll definitely post it here.
I am very sorry that I don't have any better news at the moment!
That would be great.
Well, I'm a WW1 buff, can't get rid of me that easily.
I did a reinstall, and I'm 1hr more into the save I started with so far and no issues.
Could have been corrupt files?
Maybe it got fixed with the lastest update of the engine.
Good to know I can cross that off my list :)
I can still play, but have to reinstall the game for every 1hr of playtime.
Wonder if alt+tab has anything to do with it.
I can't imagine that alt+tab has anything to do with it, but after a few years in game development I know anything could be possible.
Invisible in that the actual aircraft icon goes away while the AI Control & 3pp battle symbols are still visible but gotta look for them a bit harder.
Have played a few other titles here and there over the years, where alt+tab can induce some not so fun moments.
ui can be harder than any ai in terms of bugs sometimes.
