Missing Music download
Since I own an original copy of Quake + Quake 2 and their addons I felt sorry for those who can't hear the music because steam has no form of Red Book emulator.

So what I did was to make a OGG music pack from the disc's.

Download
Ogg version now available (compatible with Unofficial v3.24 Patch (recommended if you want to host a Coop or Die server)[www.markshan.com] and KmQuake[www.markshan.com]).

OGG soundtrack download:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwlfw__24XKPUVlUeXZxc3BGVXM/view?resourcekey=0-gB31E_KLnNXEgo3Ga63Fjg - Contains both Quake 2 and both mission pack soundtracks.

Extract to "quake 2\baseq2\music" (create folder where necessary).

Anyway to play tracks off hard drive ?

Yes you mount the CD image with daemon tools or other CD emulation software.

Nope. Quake was released on CD with music stored as CD-DA. Tracks were played by CD-ROM via audio cable directly through sound card.

Also known as Redbook Audio.

Can I just drag & drop the files into a folder to get them to work without downloading daemon tools ?

Another is to download the tracks in ogg/mp3 and use an engine source port that supports said formats.
