Quake 2 64 has its own soundtrack too.
Has the bonus mission pack have music to.😊
Gog version of the og has the soundtrack, but Steam never did for some reason, HOWEVER:
All you have to do is copy the music folder from the re release folder to the vanilla version folder afaik.
Wost part of this is that most people played these games for years without knowing there was any music actually.
Got some friends who legitimately thought these were mods or something.
Really hope quake 3 gets a reboot, and I prey for a new quake game one day, with all singing graphics to.😁
Well we had Quake champions a literal reboot. and Quake Live, a literal remaster.
Quake 3 doesn't need more attention. We need a Quake 4 remaster though.
Honestly, Quake Live was pretty interesting when it was a browser extension, many players were around, but the standalone version was deserted almost from the start.
It's cool they added the support for custom stuff, but the UI is a convoluted mess.
Also, it's already "outdated" for modern machines. Not sure if there's a correct ultrawide support for example.
Quake III still has much more possibilies than Quake Live and, to me, is still easier to navigate through. A few updates on the engine especially for high res would be great, I have a QIII custom installation with AI enhanced textures and a few tweaks, it looks really gorgeous, but there's still a few things I can't change because the engine consider some commands as cheats, while they're really not.
CPMA was the alternative, but it's not "Q3 Vanilla".
They only need to touch the user interface and server display, but there's plenty of room to make something really good with not much efforts I thinks.
