I personally would prefer a new ETQW than a remake of the original. It would be more beneficial.

Probaly not, because of Free To Play, monthly cheats suscription, matchmaking and all the modern multiplayer game design.

Let's just play the old one and control who connects to the servers.

Or maybe a Blood or Kingpin or Heretik remaster next? (I know there is Kingpin reloaded planned but at this point i think it got stuck in development hell)

Man i loved Wolfensein 2009. Sad how it ended up in licencing hell.

I am one of the few(?) men who still own Wolfenstein 2009 on Steam, and I cherish it greatly.

Sadly, my Quake Wars disc has been lost to time, and I am sincere when I say that I still grieve for it to this day.

I would support any effort to end this suffering.

Quake Wars could be a F2P release like ETCW, they just need to fix the MP browser and tweak some settings.

I'd imagine they might do a RTCW remaster which the ET mode comes with that.

That would satify people for sure.

Quake Wars would be nice, they definitely need to update the engine a bit though. A lot of the animations and stuff were 30fps. Like, if you drive in a tank, or fly. The game will play at 30fps. It's not good.

Could you imagine a Quake Wars with a battlepass? Kill 10 strogg with a pistol Daily quest? Paying 20$ for a BJ skin? Oh how times have changed.

ET:QW has an awkward issue where the middleware they used for dedicated servers (Demonware, IIRC?) was shut down and the developer merged into the Call of Duty tech team. This means that any means of "just fixing it", whether by reviving the old abandoned system or replacing it with something modern, is gonna require a pretty impressive amount of work for a game that, let's face it, didn't exactly set the world on fire in its original form.

Still hope it happens, mind! Just know that it's not like, a licensing issue or anything like that.
