Weapons Factory

Hello Marines, I still have my hard copy of Quake2 so I don't need the steam version. But the reason I'm posting is Weapons Factory. Any of you who remember this mod and it community may remember the music made just for the mod. Some of the titles as "Welcome to Weapons Factory" , "SniperEagle" and "PoleCat". I used to have the collection on disc but found it unreadable and unable to pull any of the songs from it. I've done quite a bit of searching but so far nothing has turned up. The old planetquake.com site is gone which hosted all the files.

Anyone able to assist? Fingers crossed!

this is a bit late, but there's a recent site up at http://q2wf.com/ with files and maps and a couple of servers. this mod is still around-ish but sadly hard to round up players.

I want to play WF. Is there any way we can get it built into Quake 2 for steam?? Like petitions or something?

It's not worth it, with out a major release or something there won't be anyone to play with.

You think I run servers to play with myself?! Haha I got people to sucker into playing team work makes the dream work bud! I will also see if I can sucker the Quake II rail players into giving it a go. I do have bots as terrible as they are to flesh it out if we start out with low numbers. Add me on Steam!

I did find a stash for wf files on gamefront though the link to one of the WF map packs is broken. I might have it in one of my old quake archives I will dig through it. Gotta preserve the classics! http://www.gamefront.com/games/quake-2/downloads

we are rounding up Weapons factory players from q2 3 4 here on Quake Legacy Discord https://discord.gg/4htVZES along with players from all the quake 2 and other legacy quake modding communties also there is a q2wf facebok group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Quake2WeaponsFactory/ in the past 5 or 6 years we have went from desolate no games in the Q2 iCTF (Railwarz) community to having 10-20+ players on the server about 7 nights a week. check q2servers.com almost any night (north american time) If we an revive Quake 2 Railwarz CTF then we can revive any quake 2 mod, WF, gloom, actionq2, vortex, qpong, ra2, expert CTF LMCTF, L Fire CTF, you name it it can be brought back with a little effort! id be happy to play Q2WF if you guys all hopped on discord and asked all your old Q2WF friends to join as well... getting organized is the KEY!

i actually got the wf4.2 client from fileplanet today >.< gonna try to get in on this wf action...also looking for wfa servers....used to really be into this mod back in the day...even did some clan ladder stuff.

I played WF on Quake 2 a lot. There is a bot mod so if you don't have enough players you can use bots on some of the maps. There is also a way to train the bots to and create paths on new maps. I dont have the files yet but if I find it I will provide a link.

Man, Q2 WF represented some of the best gaming times of my life. It saved me from the bs that Quake 1 DM had become with all the camping, etc and just got better and better. Anyone remember SLJ? If there is a way to continue this amazing mod, please keep me posted. I'm in and I can rally some of the SLJ players, too.
