Possible Glitch? 70/71 Kills in Lower Palace
I'm playing the new Nightdive Quake II on a Steam Deck in Nightmare difficulty, but even w/ all goals completed & secrets found I'm still stuck at 70/71 kills in Lower Palace of Unit 9 & can't find the 1 remaining Strogg I need to kill.

A year-old r/quake post, prior to this new version of the game coming out of course, found it to be a technical issue w/ the old Hard+ (now Nightmare) difficulty which was supposedly fixed in Yamagi, I'll link the citations below. I really don't want to progress further 'til I can get this sorted, so please help me!

I managed to kill 71/71 at first time only in remaster, it must be the glitch on your side

What difficulty did you play on?

I would recommend making a save and continuing if you're that far. I was also on 70/71 in the remaster I believe, and I'm always missing one in my playthroughs in other Quake 2 versions. (I have not tried Yamagi, but that's 3rd party and completely unrelated to any other version.) :NAYU_SUZU:

I'm gonna retrace the unit going to all secrets to see if I can trip it to appear. I tried noclipping but that didn't really help. Is there a console command to kill all monsters? Don't really care if that's cheating, if there's one thing that's BS about Quake II it's this sort of thing cropping up in some maps.

But I believe the person missing a kill loaded from an earlier save game and then got the full 71/71. I got the full kill count in my first playthrough so I can't say what's happening. Perhaps a teleport destination for an enemy could be blocked by another enemy in some instances? I have no idea how enemy spawns work in the game so I really can't say if that's possible. Or maybe it's possible to skip a trigger somehow, since there are a few triggers in this level that spawn enemies that are otherwise quite easy to miss.

Not looking forwards to playing it all again, these units are big, & if the issue repeats? Ugh.. If this was GZDoom I could just noclip & find where the monster is before it's teleported, or use a command to kill all monsters. In Quake II noclipping isn't that helpful for finding Strogg in the map (let alone unspawned Strogg) & I'm not aware of a command to just kill them all.

OK now I'm absolutely pissed, I restarted the unit, playing thru it again, & now I'm trapped in the other section of Upper Palace (not the section w/ the exit), I literally can't leave it w/o the game crashing to: 'Exception caught in main: see CRASHLOG.TXT for info'. Where is the crashlog stored?
