Missing one enemy in Unit 06 - Cooling Facility
Been playing Quake 2 on medium difficulty and the Gladiator supposed to break out of the big metal crate, after you come down the river near the end, but it doesn't in Unit 06 - Cooling Facility level. When I tested it on hard difficulty, it does break out. Been playing the game on yamagi source port the latest version 7.45a and Quake 2 Neural Upscale AI Upscaled Textures. Has anyone run into this bug and are there any fixes?

The "One is still alive" always been a Quake 2 problem but I cant remember or find any mention of one in CF, happens a lot with lost Icarus and Flyers, messaging the sourceport guys could be an idea if it is reproduceable (tried to restart map ?)

Thanks for your response, I did restart the map a few times, and same result 28/29 on medium difficulty. So I no clipped through the big metal crate and found the missing enemy which is the Gladiator, that's supposed to break out (only on hard difficulty). I'm thankful they fixed the secret bug in Pumping Station 2, now displays 4/4 at the end of that level. Hopefully they can fix this issue.

Yeah I dont really know the differences as I play from my young age and Q2 being a lot easer than Q1 I play it at least in hard, you seem to say the gladiator should not be here at all in normal ? This one (05:30) if I get it : https://youtu.be/6jC1l9YbGWw?t=330

That's correct, the source port guys should remove the gladiator in normal difficulty or make the trigger easier, so it does break out of the big crate, when coming down the river.

I doubt thats from the sourceport it seems strange, but I'm not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ :BL3Shrug: so anyway I'm posting this on GitHub, we'll see.

Your probably right, it's possibly from the game itself. Let me know what their response is, and hopefully they can fix this bug.

One thing I noticed with Cooling Facility.

Is that if you don't kill the enemies at the bottom of the water section (near the next map change) before dropping down the hole to get through the Cooling Facility normally, the extra enemies that are supposed to spawn in that area don't.

I think I made that mistake too, by not killing them first, before dropping down the hole you open at the beginning of the level. Even though I did kill them first, that last one doesn't spawn by breaking out of the big crate, on medium difficulty. Anyways, he's pushing a fix now located here:

FWIW, in Cooling Facility on Nightmare in the Q2 Enhanced, I didn't have the problem with the Gladiator, but there are also 3 Icaruses that don't spawn/activate unless you do _something_ (walk somewhere probably). I've been missing them, and couldn't find them despite cleaning virtually everything else in the level, but then after scanning entire level for 10 minutes with noclip they suddenly appeared in the "courtyard pool" (the one with open sky) for no reason. :/

They spawn when you collect some armor shards in the large outer area with the reservoir. explore that "courtyard pool" area, you'll find a little corner above the lift you arrived on with a few armor shards.

I've done repeated playthroughs on the remaster on this level on Medium difficulty and didn't notice a problem with the Gladiator emerging. (I know it was a problem before the remaster)
