What are the best singleplayer Quake 2 mods?

I've played Arcane Dimensions and I'm wondering if Quake 2 has anything on that scale.

There are mods, yes, but at the time I am unable to tell what is worth to check out in particular due to needing to check some first myself. First of all yet I need to find some allmod compatible way to play Quake2. I know Yamagi can help but was wondering about a way to tweak the vanilla.

bump! Currently making my way through the mission packs for the first time. Wanted to try a custom campaign or two afterwards. There is no real Q2 SP modding/mapping hq?

Like Quaddicted for Q1? Any help or tips welcome.

The mapping scene is in Q2 jump. There are thousands of custom maps. They are all movement maps but that's the best part about quake 2 anyway.
