Is this version finally fixed?
I remember when this game game came out a few years ago people were experiencing gamepad (effed up axis') and resolution/fullscreen problems. Basically, a trainwrecked port.

Is this version ok?

I bet this is the same thing without a single byte change.
Its Activision, dont expect anything.
They didnt even add achievement for this "new" release. Lazy bums.
And charge arm and leg price... Bravo.

I have had no such problems but I am not all that far in. What should I look out for to report?

Input lag on the controls, made a section against a boss impossible to complete (trying it again in lower difficulty so I lose less HP).
Replaying a section I got stuck because the next event didn't trigger.
Otherwise the game's a lot of fun though I've only played it for 4 hours or so.

I'm about halfway through, no such problems. Game plays very smoothly on xinput pad in 1080p stable 60 fps at all times.

none of it was changed its still a trainwreck that needs some fixing if the devs would do something with this game none of the bugs were fixed resolution problems its still best to play on console but atleast if you have the disk version downloaded and the disk is in your pc you can save the game

I have no input lag on the controller (using a DS3 over bluetooth via SCP drivers), no resolution problems (running upscaled to 1440p from 1080p), no FPS problems (60fps v-sync'd), and my game saves just fine (Win7 x64, Win10 was not around when this was released, don't expect fixes).

Please explain the "trainwreck needs some fixing" part, because I'm not seeing it on the technical side anywhere. I did notice in-game AA ("edge detect"?) not doing anything, neither did forcing MSAA in my drivers, but upscaling to higher resolution looks AMAZING and runs just fine. The UI doesn't get tiny either, so that's a plus.

if youve played the disk version you would get so many bugs it was unplayable were the resolution option didnt work and the controls would delay until you hit the key 6-7 times this version hasnt fixed a thing

That could very well be the case - didn't know you were on Win8.
