The remake of Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest is a mixed bag. On the surface, it’s easy to appreciate the effort that went into modernizing the visuals and improving the voice acting — both are clear upgrades from the original. The world looks charming and colorful, and characters sound more alive than ever before.

Unfortunately, that’s where most of the improvements stop. Despite the facelift, Twinsen’s Quest doesn’t capture the same magic and excitement that made the original so special. The remake somehow manages to keep many of the old frustrations — awkward bugs, choppy animations, and clunky controls — while missing the “touch and feel” that gave the classic its charm.

The original game’s slightly rough controls were forgivable because of its creativity, atmosphere, and sense of adventure. Here, the roughness feels unnecessary — as if the developers preserved the worst parts of the old experience while modernizing the rest just enough to remind you what could have been.

In the end, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest is a faithful remake in some ways, but not necessarily in the right ones. It looks better, sounds better, but somehow feels worse.

Verdict: Beautifully remade, but lacking the soul that made the original memorable.

i liked the graphics it looked peacefull and the story and the cutscenes were nice, but i had no clue of my objective, there wasnt a marker or anything showing where exactly should i head to, and the fighting system was a serious joke, like what was that fighting with a ball and running away most of the timei would give it a 2 out of 10 not recommended.

Besides some minor parts like the awkward intro, it's a pretty faithful remake with added quality of life.
