i might not if i cant just cheat in MYGM

I won't be buying it. Money talks, and as a PC gamer, I'm insulted by the war against the PC gaming community that 2K has decided to declare, so I'm going to not give my money to them.
As with last year's game, my decision on whether or not to consider this worth a purchase will hinge on the answers to several questions. I know no one has access to the game, let alone for long enough to answer these yet, but I'll just list them so they'll be here in hopes of someone down the line answering, as per usual. Those questions remain mostly unchanged since last year, and are:

  • Does downloading a large number of Community Creations still result in ever-lengthening load times, ultimately followed by instability once too many are downloaded? (And, side note: Has the game added an explicit warning or numerical catch-all limit for this, rather than the soft limit the games have had for years now?)
  • Can MyFaction unlockable wrestlers finally be used in modes outside of MyFaction, or are they still locked to that mode exclusively?
  • Last year allowed us to import MyRise CAWs into other modes and vise-a-versa finally, instead of having to recreate them from scratch as in 2K22. Is that true this year as well?
  • Is MyUniverse buggy in terms of things like heavily customized shows and titles conflicting or acting contradictorily again? Are things like loyalty and rivalries less buggy and counterintuitive this year?
  • Are frametimes and Hz support improved in the PC version e.g. no 30 fps lock for entrances, no odd frametime spikes or lack of true support for variable refresh rates, which was a problem in 2K22 but (I believe?) improved in 2K23?

As usual, everything else looks awesome, but for a game that's asking for essentially $120 USD if we want all content, these are reasonable questions to want answered.

Just from observation, if you download 2K19, 2K20, bugs bugs bugs. I actually wanted to play '14 CTD bug. Steam, PC. 2K22 2K23 not as buggy.

I agree with the pricing, too high.
Pricing is pretty funny actually. Diablo 4 is 69.99, 89, 99.
Then you got WWE 2K 59 99 119, think they better than Diablo4.
Then you got Palworld, $29.99, they have server policy never let it down even though it costs nearly 500k a month.

Hows the Online going to be in this game?
Coop in modes?

I am wanting more RPG aspect in MyGM MyUniverse, should be able to build loyalty/rivalry backstage/through interactions not just in the matches.

Sure it has bugs, but I have to ask you this. What FPS lock? I get 121 FPS through all aspecs. You don't have a video setting correct if your not getting the frames. j/s

That portion of my post was referring to one of 2K22's known issues. This was a universal issue literally everyone on PC had at launch. I was asking whether this remains improved in 2K24 as it was in 2K23, or if it's reverted. The "fps lock" was only during entrances, and during specific camera cuts. As stated, it was (I believe - didn't play 2K23 due to the aforementioned other issues not being addressed) improved in 2K23.

I'm a tad confused. Will the WM40 arena be available for ALL versions or just the WM edition?
Zeokage Feb 12, 2024 @ 10:15pm
It looks like just the WM edition at a later date, but I'd send in a ticket to 2K Support to be sure.

Q: What is included in the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition?
WM 40 Arena***
***Exact release date of Forty Years of WrestleMania Bonus Pack content to be announced post-launch and subject to change.

So if they specifically say in this pack, you get this specific thing, that means its only that thing.

So I'm going to assume unlike 2K23, War Games any purchase gets it.
2024, they want monetize, more monetize approach, new feature, but gotta $$$$ on top of the standard.

Now my question in regards to this,
Mattel Cody Rhodes (Bruised) Playable Character and MyFACTION Card

So I'm wondering if there is a new thing, go in (fine), or go in (Bruised).
like you going in already busted open, bleeding?
like start the match all red, or yellow. More customization.
Thinking this because of (Bruised), its not Bruiser, its Bruised.

I like customization like that.
Give me ex. Spike Dudley (Getting squashed)
ex. Mark Henry (Squasher)

One thing I sure miss from 19, 20, all those funky customizations, play x3 speed, play unlimited finishers, play this unique way.

I want more interaction though, so if I can only have 1 thing from the game. More interaction in the modes. Should be getting swarmed by my superstars as MyGM. Play favorites. Have to play making sure everyone is happy too.

Because just like real life, unhappy superstar they leave.

Have it be more than, did you win or lose. Losing streak so your unhappy?
I don't think Spike Dudley was unhappy being a jobber.
Jobbers don't really seem unhappy.

You getting fight the best, your in a match with the best. Thats a W. Be happy. Who cares if you jobbing.

Santino Marella, I'm pretty sure that person was happy in WWE.
R Truth, he be happy a lot too.

Jobbers seem to be happy, but in WWE game, 3 loses. they already hating life. makes no sense.

If you change the maximum fps setting in Nvidia control panel for the application itself to 60fps and use the control panel to handle Vsync globally and turn it off in game you should get 60 fps entrances etc. I've done this both with 22 and 23 and never dropped a frame below 60.

I bought the game and heres why
1. Positive going into this game positively thinking they did the right things, they cared, looks good from what I see too. I want a good game.
2. MyGM in the notes it says
##challenge rival general managers for the top spot in MyGM
- so is this I can send my superstars vs rival GM? If so good, if not hopefully its good whatever that means. I want challenge them not just ratings and money, I want to defeat them via my brand beating their brand, its a video game, but whatever their vision maybe good too.
##Trade Superstars between brands
- I like this
##make executive decisions on contracts
- is it more than just pay for contracts? Some RPG factor in this? Cool if so.
##amp up the drama
- amp up the drama how? shake up your own roster, RPG factor in it? like gm that has favoritism on the roster and someone they don't like and there is drama within the roster? RPG factor? I like it if so.
3. Universe in the notes it says,
##WWE 2K24’s ultimate sandbox
- hopefully more sandbox features, I'd think maybe in future or maybe this game has AI sandbox like adjust a bunch of superstars to interfere in matches, so its chaos, adjust a bunch of superstars to come to the rescue. Maybe a rescue factor? say someone interferes in your match now next person to interfere is basically a rescue'er. OR maybe another interferer but they are against you too, so 2 people interfering. A lot of potential.
##all-new cutscenes
- I hope this is for more RPG factor, like backstage events, where people actually talking to you or you can talk to other people, something other being godmode (you decide everything) in the game, more of an RPG mode, superstar mode with RPG factor in it.

Yep thats pretty much it.
I'm looking for a more of a video game of WWE, not a serious WWE, and would like it to be more RPG factor because, I play for the fun, not really to compete but if there is a ladder/pvp system thats interesting and good, I'm all for that too but always played WWE games in a RPG like way however I can do it, so more options they give the better for me.

Dude, it's your money. It doesn't matter if you bought the game solely because you like the aesthetic design of the 2K logo flying at you during start up.

Honestly this game I have a feeling is gonna be lowkey pretty good.
