Referees take way too long to get a pin
am i the only one who thinks that refs are taking too much time to pin / count?
some AI Opps are kicking out even before 1..

No you are not... it takes WAY too long. I got the feeling in the previews it was faster.

The first count takes way too long. Following counts are slightly fast but not as much as is ideal or realistic.

I think the AI is having pathfinding problems before the ref throws themselves on the ground.

These WWE 2K games have always been having cheating AI. It's like a trademark for all 2k-something games. The referee is a useless npc. Don't expect the AI to play fairly. You will suffer and rage when playing these clumsy games.

I'm begging this ref to start the count
Why are the refs so slow to start counting pinfalls this year?
Yo im glad someone said something this is driving me crazy. its like every pinfall is being counted like its a wrestlemania main event and the referee is just barely recovered enough to sort of count.

i think they made the ref suck this year to make you try out the special guest ref mode, which i have played exactly one time and thought it was neat.

I don't think they take too long. Its just like real life, sometimes the ref is right thee to count, other times they have find a spot to start counting, or someones leg might be in the way. its very dynamic, i like it.

In Myrise there was a match that you're the special guest referee, and the AI's a battling each other 1v1, there was a requirement to fast count of the one the wrestlers that you chose. I try to fast count but the AI keeps kicking out at 2 every single time, no matter how low their HP is, no matter what body is injured there is no way to fast count. It's so BS.

I think part of the problem is the refs seem to stay in corners so they also have much farther to run before they even start the count then they have a big delay once they are down on the mat. The delay once down is probably there to make a noticeable different between a heel ai ref and the face one, but it is still annoying. The ref also seems to be blocking camera angles a lot of the time in 2K24 so it makes it hard to see the action or do reversals.

They aren't referring to the refs position, they are talking about once the ref gets in position and gets down to count, there is a 2 to 3 second delay before the ref starts counting which is not realistic and is way too slow.

Ah, gotcha...I personally haven't noticed that yet, but I will check if my game does that too.

it doesn't make a difference if it's 1v1 because the kick out bar only appears when he starts counting. it becomes an issue on triple threats or 4 fatal because with the time it takes for the ref to start counting, stunned opponents have more time to enter the ring

It's been a thing for quite some time.
Captain Camper Apr 17, 2024 @ 11:11pm
With the new action camera in 2k24 that tries to get a zoom on the pin count, the referee tries desperately to get into frame for the camera instead of count where they're standing, and so you get this delayed count while the AI struggles to get into a good camera position which didn't exist in the previous games. Previously, you would see the entire ring when the count began and the ref would just start counting wherever the closest path was to the pinfall.

Nope, the newer games tend to have a slower pin count compared to the old SvR game which I find quite annoying
