Can base language be changed?

Help please! I messed up. So I was tiring to start and because the text box was in English I thought I had to pick the language, and now I am suck in German. I have click and messed with every setting. Is there a base language changing setting? I'm I the only one to mess up before the game even began?
Please help, I don't know what to do.

Hey, no you're not the only person to do that (I've done it myself!) we're looking to make it easier to go back in a future update).

Once you've complete the tutorial you can access the settings menu to change the language for the menus / UI and also the learning language (press "Esc" to access the menu; the tutorial ends after you've learnt and tested five words in the cafe).

Alternatively (and maybe easier), you can delete your save file and start over. The best way to do that is via this process here: https://nountown.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/103000261366
