Difficulty with the mic, need help please

I love the concept of this game, and I want to experience it fully, but I am having issues with the voice recognition part, which, in reviews, seems to be a universal experience. I'm currently learning Korean and have run into an issue where the mic only seems to pick up the first part of the word, no matter how clearly I try and speak. I did not have this issue at first, but now that it's started, it won't stop. Even the words that I have gotten right several times before are registering as wrong. I have tried using my iPhone as the mic input, turned the background music off, and am in a quiet room. I'm currently using a MacBook Air and mostly relying on the mic on the computer for the recording. Is there anything I could adjust in my settings, or is there some troubleshooting that could solve this problem? If not, I might have to get the game refunded until it is fixed because it's nearly impossible to move forward without the voice recognition working. :(

Are you able to join our Discord: https://discord.gg/3K3jWtCy3H so we can look into your Mac / Steam settings and see which is causing the issue so we can get it resolved?
