Free Weekend = demo?

It took me almost as long to download it as it did to play it. They made it sound as though you could play the game. It is just a come on. It didn't work though. The game is not very good.

It would be illogical to make such liniar game to be free for the whole weekend. People would just play through it fo free. Although it doesn't say on the main page that free weekend is limited, which devs should've said. And it's not short for sure, it took me couple of hours to complete

Demos of games used to be substancially more than that. But maybe they have gotten shorter as have games. I just haven't played a demo in a while. My point was that they made it sound as though you could play "the game" for the weekend, not just a teaser.

Saints Row IV gave the entire game through its free weekend. I feel like I wasted my time downloading this. of the 82 minutes I spent playing it atleast 10 of them were sitting on the full game feature screen while i went AFK. They should have just put out a Demo for this game.

Good morning, it should have always been a free multiplayer weekend. We just wanted to give 2 singleplayer maps in addition so that you can get a first look on the singleplayer as well. I do not know why Valve just named it "Free Weekend" instead of "Free Multiplayer weekend" and I already wrote an email to them to have this corrected as it is indeed misleading.

What is really "misleading" is that I downloaded the whole game last night (7 GB) and have to dl an additional 4 GB this morning...

I can see why the single player portion is limited. As stated above, we would just play through the whole thing and never want to buy it. I know i wouldn't buy it, because I see zero replay value.

OK, I just started the download, should I just quit now or, let it ride? I'm not sure I will buy it anyway because, it's MP only for the weekend. I may not want to play MP in order to see if I like the game or, not. I would really like to see more Demos to help me decide before buying anything. I play on a PC with M & KB only, I hate buying games because of reviews, faked videos, meanig, studio tpye, not actual gameplay and come to find out, the game isn't for ♥♥♥♥♥ to be played with M & KB. Then, I've wasted money on a game I cannot play for the control of the game is better suited for consoles or, by using a controller. I'm not one to purchase a game just to support a third party company by having to purchase additional equipment in order to play a game.

The game looks ok but, I don't like jumping into an MP scenerio for the first time ever playing a game that's for both, SP & MP. I like to get a feel of the game before tackling MP.

You can play the first two full levels of SP during the Free Weekend. Nobody forces you to join the MP right away :)

Now I am never buying the game. It is not stated anywhere that there is a 2 chapter limit.

Yes, it took longer to download than I was expectiing so, I guess it was added during the time it took. I see it has an adventure now. Thanks. Looks good so far with everything on Max/Ultra settings.
