Suffering through extreme lag. Please help.

The game was running smoothly before the 0.13.0 Beta 1 update except for minor items flying away or disappearing. After the update, I can't play it because of the amount of lag with every action I do in this game. From grabbing/letting go of the backpack, holstering a weapon on my person or in my backpack, placing ammo boxes into their pouches, placing mags in mag pouches, and putting my helmet on my backpack's carabiner clip. Each of these actions has a lag time of several seconds where I get the hourglass logo on the bottom right of my quest 2. Maps have also been taking 5-10 mins to load into whether I am loading into the base, forest, or peninsula. Is there any way to fix this without wiping out all of my work? I already had to start over with the release of Beta 0.13 after having an insane stash, and I don't want to do it again. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Here, everyone is waiting for the new beta and hoping that the lag problem will disappear.
To reduce lags, do not put single bullets in your backpack. Pack them in boxes and throw away empty boxes. Then there will be fewer lags.
