Into the Radius 2

Into the Radius 2

SteamLink driver crash game repeatedly.
I was in the top north refuge of the forest and was cleaning a shotgun rifle, the game crashed reliably every time that weapon reached full green bar (i found the weapon inside the radius at red durability).
SteamVR kept saying that a driver of SteamLink crashed.
After around 5/6 attempt the game just crashed as soon as i loaded that save file.

I solved it by switching from Steam Link via Meta Quest 3 to Virtual Desktop. That for me is a problem since i have better performance when using Steam Link over VD, both set to OpenXR. With Virtual Desktop i get heavy stutters, while on SteamLink there are a lot less.

Edit: Lately after that problem described occurred, while using SteamLink to play, it keeps crashing at random times, no more in a reliable way like cleaning a weapon.
As now, is no more playable for me with SteamLink, and with VD it stutters badly.
I tryied repairing SteamVr files and ItR2 ones and doing a clean reinstall of Steam.

Edit2: I solved the stutters problem using Virtual Desktop by switching from 90Hz to 120Hz.
I have worst fps, but the stuttering is night and day better.

Same here. My using Virtual Desktop have no problems while a friend who I play with and who connects via SteamLink in coop catch Unreal Engine crashes every 2-10 minutes.
Same here the steam link driver keeps crashing.
I found the solution, steamlink crashes when the stream bandwidth is too high. Change the bandwidth in the steamlink settings to 90 and see if that prevents crashing. This is clearly a bug on steam links side.

I usually leave the bandwith to automatic to avoid problems and it was on automatic during the crashes and errors.
I'll try looking into SteamVR settings again, and maybe tinker with manual bandwith options.

On the Meta Quest Steam Link app, are you opted in for the Beta branch? Or are you on the live version?

I'm using the Beta, but I don't think that's what solved my problem.

I am on the Beta branch too, actually i was thinking that It could be part of the problem.
But since the only VR game causing issues is Into the Radius 2, i don't mind keep using the Beta branch.

I have been not able to play It yet via Steam Link since the crashes started, and the other evening i tryied again with different SteamVR settings launching It, It lasted less than 5 Min before crashing again.

Did you change the bandwidth to 90?
