mod support?

i love the first game and with the limited amount of mods its hard to come back after beating the game. would it be possible to allow some kind of mod support so the game can be expanded by the community? its understandable if not but it would be fun to have.

I beleive its planned (unfortunately was abandoned for ITTR1) so the prospects , afaik, are good.

ITR2 is developed with mod support in mind, but it won’t appear during early access. Hopefully some time after full release.

I haven't put so many hours into a game since Skyrim. Hell! This game got me back into gaming but yeah! After 100's of hours its hard to justify coming back for more.

And it was the first part that finally came out from EA? Dev wrote that the exit from EA will be with a patch with official mod support. And the project has reportedly already been abandoned.
