Magazine Reloading a Bit Clunky
I'm playing with the Valve Index and when I try to reload the magazine on a pistol I have to get the magazine so close that my controllers bump together. Sometimes I fail to reload because my hands are oriented in a way that my controllers are mashing each other and I literally can't get them any closer together. So in order to reload I have to slightly rotate my hands so I can get the controllers close enough to complete the reload.

It would be nice if you extended the range a bit for how far a magazine is from a gun in order to trigger the magazine getting inserted. Probably just needs to be extended an inch or half an inch. (A few centimeters.)

Hmm. I'm similar situation but opposite outcome with pistols. If I take out the new mag and it's already too close to the loading point, it won't load. I have to move the two objects far apart, and push them closer again.

If you folks are interested in workarounds, I used the OpenVR Input Emulator to bump my right hand position down a few ticks. It's enough to make reloading feel just fine without any accompanying feelings of "desync" with the hand.

I'm using the fixed dll by Erimelowo; the original app has a history of being busted by SteamVR updates.

Can you also use it to adjust grip strength? I feel like you have to grip it too hard to hold items. I used to have it installed but it caused numerous issues with SteamVR till I removed and uninstalled it. I usually adjust grip strength in controller setttings steamvr but it has no cogwheel next tot the grip controls to adjust grip sensitivty and stuff.

I don't think it has grip strength, but it should be in the controller bindings like you expect. Make sure you hover over the grip section and click the pencil that pops up, that should show the cog to fine-tune the grip settings.

I just picked one of the community public bindings that someone posted and it worked for me just like I expected it should.
+1 on the op message, had the same problem with index controllers
stopped using the pistol whatsoever because of this and the pistol holster being a mini black hole that eats pistols sometimes

Same. I'm also using an alt keybinding for grip.
