Repairing Helmets, Mask?
Is it possible to repair helmets and masks (the mask that lets you go into the orange anomaly bubbles)? Or do I just have to trash them and buy new ones every time their durability drops to zero?

Gotta buy new ones. But do the masks actually lose durability ?
You can sell damaged armor and helmets to recoup some of the cost, but not much. It's definitely better than just throwing them out, or waiting for them to break on you in the middle of a shootout, though.

I haven't really used armor at all, is it worth it ? The cost seems so high I'd rather buy more heals does it make such a difference on damage that you end up saving because you have to buy less heals ?

I can't do the math on whether armor is worth it or not, since I don't have exact info on durability, or how much it protects you, or how much the syringes heal, but it sure feels like just buying and using syringes are more cost effective for how quickly the armor breaks down.

As far as I know, the masks protect you for 120 seconds. As you enter an orange bubble with one, it starts ticking down and never regens back to 120 seconds, even when you leave the bubble and go back to base. That's what I mean by "repairing the mask".

The mask's protection is definitely supposed to regen after leaving a distortion zone. If it isn't, you may have a bug.

You have to leave the mask on after leaving a distortion zone for it to recharge, check your watch, takes about 10-20 seconds. It does wear out however, after about 10 or so distortion zones.
Haven't done serious testing, but just from playing, armor seems to help, especially the higher tier stuff.

Ooooh I didn't know this! Ok I will try that next time, thanks!

Whether armor is more worthwhile than syringes is besides the point. Armor prevents you from getting killed quickly by high-threat situations, like multiple rifle-wielding mimics. I feel certain that the devs will find a workable solution later, whether it's allowing equipment to be repaired or adjusting the resale cost of used items.

IMO armor plates are absolutely worth it especially for the RPD? mimics. As far as helmets specifically those still just have to be sold off once they are depleted. Perhaps there should be a cleaning mechanic implemented to allow cleaning of them the same as weapons. Side note the lvl 2 and 3 helmet can mount a small weapons flashlight on the side for better low light conditions. It does seem like the lvl 3 helmet should accept mounting for the head lamp but so far its not yet possible. Who knows maybe NVG's will be a thing in future maps where it is constantly night ;-P.
