[Solved] Security Level 3 Extract the Case mission

So I'm doing the Security Level 3 mission to infiltrate the Sanatorium and extract a case. I've gotten in to the Sanatorium and cleared the whole place out. I can hear the case's beep/noise but the case itself doesn't seem to be anywhere.
Has anybody else encountered this or have any idea what I could do? I'm hoping I'm just being galactically blind, but it really sounds like the noise is coming out of thin air at an invisible point. I've reloaded my save and rebooted the game but it doesn't seem to do anything.

It's in one of the rooms on the second floor, have you gotten there?

Second floor? The staircase leading upstairs is blocked off. Unless there's an outside route to get up there, which I would totally believe I missed if that's the case.

You climb in to the second floor from the outside then go out another window and use the rope overhead to get to the room with the suitcase and other rewards.

OMG yep, there's totally a wooden "ladder" (really just climbable wood planks) on one of the faces of the building that goes up to the 2nd floor. Thanks for the help, and I'm glad I was just being wildly dense and not actually bugged.
