G18c is super useful now after inclusion of 33rd mag! Smart devs!
To me, the 33rd mag transformed the gun from something I would only carry if I wanted to play around, into the perfect thing to carry for tape spawn enemies! Has anybody else been enjoying using this gun a lot more now with the hi-cap mag?

The AK-74 benefited greatly from the high capacity mags as well too. Seems like the best setup to carry for me. Kinda makes me wonder what resistance we're in store for :I ....

To the devs, I believe it was a great idea to go with high capacity mags instead of drum mags. I could see drum mags getting pretty cumbersome in VR.

Honestly I love the glock, but it needs an "upgrade" station like the previous... the rail makes it look hideous and its awkward to aim it in my opinion.

+1 on mags

The sks rifles need a big magazine too. I mean, you can choose between and sks or a ak74 with a 45 ammo mag. what do you take... yeah the AK74.

+1 Excellent point. Making extended mags for one machine gun and not the other does single out the choices really...

It seems like every gun / mag design which they've released so far is a copy of a real existing part for any given gun. If extended mags for some of those guns don't exist in the real world, I wonder if that would stop them from releasing it in the game. I'm sure SKS extended mags definitely exist but for some of those obscure guns, idk.

Well I think they're trying to separate assault rifles from DMRs. If they made the SKS more damaging or destructive versus the AK then it would make sense as is. But when you check stats there's only a minor drop in damage but better penetration with the AK and you can still headshot all day with it.

I'm just hoping these decisions make sense with what they're working on and we just don't see the other pieces
I take things that deal damage. The 5.45 AKs do less than the SKS (which you can find in the forest along with its magazines) and the Glock does less single-shot damage than the Beretta by a factor of 6 points.

The Glock vs Beretta matters because that's the difference between single shorting the spawns. I hate those things.

But with the rifles, a headshot is what I'm going for and the only thing lately that tanks headshots is the Cop mimics for whatever reason.

Yeah, the G18c is really only good against the spawn enemy but it is quite notably good against them. Full auto and maneuverability are what you want for close encounters.

its a simple equation. the m9 has damage 37 x 17 bullets so total damage = 629, whereas glock is 30*33 so total damage 990. no contest. basically they removed the m9 from being the best option anymore.
same thing with the ak74. 50x45 = 2250 whereas the fal only does 70*20 = 1400 total damage. really no contest. and even more so for the better sks. 60 * 10 = 600. why bother.

That's assuming infinite ammo or ignoring the logistics of it. It is simple math. Yes. It is total possible damage out of a single magazine if all shots hit. Yes. But...like... I'd rather single shot the spawns instead of braaapping them to death. I took the bizon out for fun but 63 rounds of 9x18 just did nothing to the average enemy.
