Side holster still too high. Is it because I am tall?
I have to grab my ribs to draw my sidearm. Would feel more natural lower. Less like I am trying to roll on deodorant. It's a restricting movement to pull the gun out. Are other people experiencing this? Or is it just me being 6'5" and all the chest rigs being the same size for everyone and maybe starting on the shoulders. Going down less far to my proportions than for shorter people. I cannot count how many times I needed to suddenly pull out my pistol and ended up with air.

It isn't just you; I'm a hair under 6'2 and I'm grabbing the pistol just under my ribcage. And 9 times out of 10 I end up missing my grab and end up threatening an enemy with an ammo mag.

Lmao. Oh yeah, that happens to me too sometimes. If I could flick the rounds out of the mag hard enough maybe I can back up my threats.

Same. I never use the mag pouch next to the pistol so this won't happen.

My tall friend also has this issue

I believe the only thing that changes depending on height is how high above ground your whole body model floats. The distance between pouches and camera doesn't change, and it is indeed way too close, and same can be said about the distance between the right mag pouch and the pistol holster. I wish devs split the vests from belts, and belts for pistol and magazines could be then adjusted by height and rotation separately from the vest, similarly to Arizona Sunshine 2. But I guess this full body approach limits them quite a lot...

The same here. I'm 190cm (6'3"), but I don't think my height is the problem. The game should do better at guessing what item the player wants to pick, especially in emergencies (e.g. when the combat starts).

6'3" here, same problem, my pistol holster is up by my ribs, but I also don't think it's entirely because of height. It's really hard to grab where you want to grab at times, especially when reaching for anything on my vest.

I mean this is not really surprising, considering that our pistol and side pouch are attached to the vest and not to the belt. If the side pouch and pistol were at the belt there would not be a problem like that. Now the only vest which kind of works well is the new medium one with the armor slot, but we loose some storage points on it.

Can we get a drop/thigh holster than?

It totally broke for me after they pushed the Beta live. It was fine for me in the beta, now the tablet and pistol holster is in my armpits. It is completely unplayable for me now. There was no response so far which is really hard to understand. I can only assume this entirely game-breaking bug is for a handful not the whole. Unfortunately I can't play the game until they fix it. Moving on to other stuff for now.

Would vote for this for sure. For me the key that it should be adjustable by height and position at least to some extent, the rest is just details on implementation.

I knew some one was going to say this. The problem with this defense is that I never seen a cop, soldier, or anyone else have their side arm holstered a few inches under their armpit. Attached to chest rig or not.

Just because it must be on the chest rig does not mean that wanting it lower means we expect it to drop off the chest rig. That would be the complaint error if it already grabbed at the bottom of where our chest rigs would be on us. It's not for some of us at least.

At the bottom of the chest would be easier to grab, while still making sense. Hanging from it and strapped around the thigh once worn would be better. But while it's on the chest and too high on it, having to have your triceps above the height of your shoulder to draw your weapon is a bit much for convenience and realism even for being attached to the piece.

This is often the problem in forums. People are so quick to disagree and play the devil's advocate with posts that they forget the devil is in the details and argue the extremes of a post rather than the idea behind the specific complaint.

I find the body rig just feels too high. It's hard to describe but it feels totally off. Never really aligned with my actual body.
Spirit_Miku Oct 9, 2024 @ 2:08pm
Its so high up, they even said they lowed it 2 patches ago but even in the Beta its under you're armpit needs to be at the waist of the character model or just be adjustable with a menu
