Can't join multiplayer session

Everytime I try loading into my friends game it just boots me back to the lobby. I've tried other games and my internet is fine. Haven't had this issue before.

I'm also having this problem, I'm the host and player 2 can't join. It shows him the radius loading screen on his VR (but his computer monitor still shows the main menu) and then returns him to the main menu without any kind of error message. It does show him as offline in the teams menu when I'm loaded into the game waiting for him, even though he is online in steam.

Also having this issue. I use a Valve Index and he uses a Quest 2 hooked up to a PC with Steam.

Make sure whoever is trying to join has completed the entire tutorial and the first mission or two in single player. This fixed it for my friend.

you need to finish tutorial and first mission (can be done in 10-15 minutes)

then you can join via Steam invite (menu button on left controller and Steam icon)

Completing the tutorial has nothing to do with it. We have done that and played a 2hr session together. We were then unable to connect at all from the save despite there being no update in between.
