game stuttering/lag
game lags a lot for me with a 3070ti ryzen 7 5800x and 32gb ram sometimes the game will completely freeze for a while and I have to go over to my pc to close it.. I tried both airlink and link cable the same thing also I played on low

one of these fixed it for me:

- Turned Windows power plan to balanced (the internet told me, that the performance setting can create problems with the 3D Cache of AMD CPUs)
- put ingame shadow and foliage settings on low
- disabled fov rendering (i have the feeling this one fixed it for me)

Hope this helps:sperm:

Not sure if it's my rig but i had to refund this for now until they get this sorted out. looks like a memory leak because this is the only game that has this happen and nothing else. Game starts off normal then after 20-30 mins of gameplay it stutters and everything becomes almost a slideshow and slows down.

Oculus link (cable or wifi) is really not the best option out there and I would never recomend it.
I have a Quest 3, with a normal 3080 and the game runs really well for me.
Try to use Virtual Desktop and follow these settings:
-Set the quality to high instead of ultra in VD
- Lock at 72 fps
- 150 bitrate (potentially works fine at 200)
- Updated drivers.
- All game settings are on ultra (except for Medium shadows)

I'm using quest 3 and i connect through airlink fine for me, there was one time where the game had an intense lag/stutter but the fix was easy... I just saved the game and reloaded the save file which seemed to fix the issue.
Definitely ditch anything quest or air link and use Virtual Desktop it's almost always the best way to play any VR game if supported. I run this game on max settings and even in multiplayer it's buttery smooth never had any hitches or freezes, nothing like that, on a 4070. VD is the champ here though, not the GPU this game isn't THAT intensive honestly.

On the store page in the recommended settings it says you should achieve 90hz gameplay with an rtx 3080. You lock at 72 but ideally could you achieve stable 90?

7800 X3D, 4070Ti, Pico 4 using VD and runs perfectly on high settings, no lag or stuttering at all

Is the fov rendering in the game settings cause I cant seem to find it
My mistake, couldn't remember the exact name. "Foveation Strength" in the ingame graphics settings:awkward:

Quest 3 with VD on the high setting. 5800x3d, 3080, 32 gigs ram. I lock to 90 fps most of the time. There are obviously dips sometimes. In game settings on medium with textures high.

Everything on ultra it may dip from 90 a lot more. Depending on location. But honestly haven't tried it.
