DirectX 12
Getting this Error Code

DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.

Seems like my GPU is too old. (It's an RTX 2080 Super)
Minimal system requirement says a RTX 2060 would do the job.

I got the same problem (I have RTX2060)

Got the problem fixed by installing GeForce Game Ready Driver.
Don't ask my why this software is needed or whatever it does in detail. I am just happy the game works now.

DirectX is literally a graphics pipeline needed for most 3D rendering (and some 2D, depends.). sometimes things use OpenGL, or Vulkan, but they're all graphical pipelines. It's needed because games can't render without it.

Thanks for the explanation. The thing I can not explain is, why my GPU needs the second Geforce program in addition to its actual driver to run ITR2. Every other game worked perfectly fine, no matter if it was for VR or not.

Possibly an error with Nvidia's side considering ITR2 uses a rather new version of Unreal Engine 5 (I say this, it uses 5.3.1, which is an 8-9 month old version. though it's the first time this recent of a UE5 version has been used in VR.)? Possibly didn't know what to do and ended up having issues. It doesn't sound like the fault of the devs if installing Nvidia drivers fixed it tbh.

Hi, everyone. We're looking into this issue, but in the meantime – may we ask you to start "dxdiag" from start menu, and in the app, wait until it collects data (progress bar finishes) and click "Save all information", and then share your generated .txt files, via https://pastebin.com/ or any other service, for example?

Thank you! Will do!
