No HTC Vive controller support
Unless I'm blind the game does not seem to have any HTC Vive controller support, and therefore can't progress throughout the game. Pressing the buttons selected by them opens up the inventory, and I can't seem to find a way to fix it. Until they add support for us Vive users, don't buy it unless you are on Quest

Hi everyone,

Currently, we do not support Vive Wands, as mentioned in the PC specs requirements on the Steam page for the game. At this time, we don’t have an ETA on when or if support for Vive Wands might be added.

To avoid giving false hopes, we're locking this thread. If support for Vive Wands becomes available in the future, it will be highlighted in the patch notes.

I have the same problem, but only the same button is assigned: fuse, magazine and information about the weapon, that is, every time I pull out the magazine, the weapon is put on the fuse

similar to both of you i have problems with controls overlapping. most of them i was fine with such menu being any click on the touch pad
the main one that forced me to put it down was magazine eject and safety being on the same button.
and remapping one makes the other either not work or just behave the same

Its early days, but I have the similar situation...confusing controls or overlapping controls. Now add on top of that being left handed lol. The vive controllers work, just not very well, the ability to change which controller turns you and moves you would help with my situation of being left handed. I'm sure there will be improvements ahead, just hope the devs don't forget about us left handed people!

they ruined the controls, i just want my OG controls back :steamsad:

I can't seem to find it anymore, but someone else had a post about this, the dev said there is no support for HTC Vive, and suggested to refund.

Most likely not supporting it officially ever.

Have same problem... Im kinda surprised that it couldnt be implemented since it worked in ITR1 just fine.

Yeah i just looked on the steam page and Vive wands aren't supported... :(

If they don't plan on supporting it, that's nuts. I don't believe for a second that this game is so far advanced from every other VR shooter on the store that they can't make the Vive wands work.

If this is the case I will be refunding it immediately

Waiting for a fix on the Vive wands before I buy. I bought Index knuckles but didn't like them at all.

Since this is a gun game, and wands are the best controller at simulating a gun grip (& sword hilt & racquet grip), I hope the dev will eventually see the light.

Can users still publish controller bindings for OpenXR games, for other users to use?

I don't see the post anymore, and the reply isn't in the dev's post history, so it was deleted.

Not sure why it was deleted.

Are you able to use SteamVR to rebind anything at all for the vive wands? Or are the control bind options just straight up blank? I can understand not making a preset, but if they just don't let you try to bind anything to fix it yourself is just shi tty.

This isn't a practical suggestion but afaik you can get a pair of pair of refurbished or used index controllers for much cheaper then new and use them with your existing 1.0 base stations. Afaik a little more setup needs to be done.

I use an O.G Vive with Index Knuckles on the O.G. Vive 1.0 base stations, works seamlessly, exact same setup as the wands through SteamVR.
Just have to make sure all peripherals are up-to-date with patches.

As for whether or not you can use the wands for ITR2, I can't comment.
