I want to use my 4090 FFS
At the moment we're planning to go through Early Access with ITR2, and while we want to bring the game to multiple platforms, we need to finish it first, so all news will have its time. Stay tuned ;)
I have both a Q2 and Q3, and the standalone version of the current ITR is smart enough to recognize the difference in headsets and adjust accordingly (I think it is the same software install but there are triggers to use extra assets if it detects the Q3). I imagine that Meta has some sort of policy in place to ensure that devs don't abandon the Q2 too quickly by requiring that the software run on either headset. I think MS has this policy for the Xbox X/S situation, which is similar to the Q2/Q3 one with regards to capabilities.
I imagine the ITR 2 poert will be similar... If you have a Q2, lower fidelity assets will load, but it'll be the same install as the Q3.
If you are running the PC version over steam link you your headset, it won't matter if you have a Q2 or a Q3
