It's Octavia by a mile. Infinitely scaling damage, party wide buffs that include: energy regen, bonus damage, armor, speed, invisibility, multishot and melee damage. Her mallet taunts enemies to it which you can use to solo interceptions or defenses. You can helminth her resonator away for a different buff or armor strip and make her even more capable. The only mission type she doesn't bring much to the table for other than buffs is Disruption, but then you have guns.

Any frame you can comfortably take into steel path duviri circuit despite having terrible RNG on weapon choices.

So Protea and Mesa are among the top choices for me. It also depends on your helminth choices.

Everywhere you can use both a companion and operator you can outsource so much utility to just those two things that you don't really need a jack of all trades frame.

For general solo "tank" frame I switched from the likes of Rhino/Nezha to Voruna. Because she gets movement/parkour speed and stealth along with infinite energy, is pretty much unkillable and gets huge damage buffs (albeit only for melee). I also find her much more fun to play.

Gara. It actually kind of works to her detriment though, because it's hard to build her to be able to do everything well. She wants all the stats.
Protea (overall), Gara (defense and nukes), Revenant (being immortal), kinda mesa, kinda saryn (both kinda useless once nulifiers show up)

your warframe is only a small part, nowadays it's all about your subsume, arcanes, more arcanes and even more arcanes, obscure mods and interactions and your operator stuff

I'd say citrine is pretty good. tanks due to regen and damage reduction upto 90%. amazing status primer and damage dealer with 3, also status and extra survival for yourself and team with her 1 as well since it makes enemies drop health and energy globes, her 4 gives anyone who shoots the crystals it spawns 300% crit chance as well as ccing the enemies effected. so she's good for killing , healing , not dying, defense, assisting teammates if your gear is bad... it's like no matter what as long as you use your skills you will be more useful to your team than most other players using other support frames so even if you're basically leaching someone on a hard mission you're not useless dead weight to them like you would be on other frames possibly.

Most people think of Mesa as a raw damage output frame but she's a pretty damn good tank as well and still has support capabilities (especially when you figure in that you can just put dispensary or something over her practically useless 1) given she can disable enemies around pretty much everyone for them to just easily kill without having to worry about properly fighting for quite a good spell of time.
Volt as has already been mentioned is also a pretty good all rounder as he has a dedicated support ability that's quite solid, he's got an AoE nuke ability that also gives him tons of extra survivability and he of course has the shield for damage output and his 1 is a good candidate for replacing with anything you like.

Almost any frame that's a good all rounder happens to also have one ability that you can pretty easily choose as the one to get rid of, which makes them even more invaluable as a versatility driver because you can put whatever is needed to fix their minor weaknesses and buff their strengths.

I'm gonna say Ash. His skill set is workable for just about every mission type. He can smoke screen through spy missions and blade storm attackers for defense missions. His shuriken augment can be combined with intensity and power drift mods to completely remove armor.

Revenant 100% u have Sustain, u can controll enemys that helps on def stuff and u have huge aoe also good for def or just clearing
xethier 16 ENE 2024 a las 9:02
The real answer is Loki.
Jack of all trades? Styanax.

Has a single damage skill with light CC, shield and armor strip, a self heal, a team wide energy recovery, team survivability buffs, and an AC130 aoe damage that has the potential to OUTHEAL Trin (Trin needs a buff).
kritze 16 ENE 2024 a las 10:27
there is only protea.

Any frame, with the right build and weapon can do anything *up to a point*. And that point is Steel Path starting levels - there you need to bump up the beefiness of your frame and dmg output of weapons. So yeah, the whole base starchart is doable on any frame, if you know how to build and use it.

Next, the moment you go past lvl 180 Steel Path and beyond - there is no “jack of all trades”, you have to specialize already. Armor striping, viral-slash mass priming, AOE crowd control, i-frames, shield-gating, adaptation and other dmg reduction stuff… Some frames can do some of those things on their own. Other frames can use subsumed abilities to do that and then use the rest of their own kit on top. But not all are equal at this point anymore…

Because yes, some frames these days start to fall behind and are in dire need of help - rework/revisit to their own base kits and stats.

Wukong, Xaku and Octavia

Wisp is not far behind either, versatility wise
