The Game that Never Ends

You know there's something wonderful about the ending of a game. When it's over you can hardly wait for more, you fan brain explodes with ideas of whats coming next where the story is gonna go what will be new and what old features come back. Warframe unfortunately is a perpetual, it has no end in sight and you always know there will be more Warframe. There will always be more to farm more stuff to get you're never finished another day another grind. Geez, make Warframe 2 already. There's only so much you can do with a game engine that's over a decade old. Let the player base get some nostalgia for Warframe brewing. Considering the only option for Warframe is a slow death, go out with a bang and just put the game on infinite support mode for all the people who want OG Warframe, and work on something else for a while.

There are a lot of salary offers on their website, but I don't see an LLM or other artificial intelligence specialist anywhere. Soulframe will be "refreshed cutlet", with better graphics and that's it. the Lifespan of WF is around 15-16 years in total, if they are able to nail Cross Save without scandals. It will end soon.

and i dont think there will ever be a WF 2. DE doesnt do sequels, they do a completely new IP inspired by their older games. Their whole franchise shows this. Dunno why people think games live forever. The Lifespan of a god tier game is around 8 years nowadays.

Just because the servers are online doesnt mean it is not a ded game, look at destiny.

Maybe it's because you follow some stereotype. I don't mean an LLM focused on marketing research, but perhaps on improving AI, achieving perfect game balance, optimizing levels or randomly generating them. There are many applications, and developers have not yet woken up to this reality.

I kind of THOUGHT the whole IDEA of a game was for people to have fun. But, if random people on the internet or these forums call something DED, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN WITH THEM! BECAUSE!!!!!

I always get a laugh out of the entitled people saying that games are ded.

Yeah. Sure. No one plays old games anymore, because someone on the internet says they are ded. I mean, look at the first PC game I played, TIE Fighter. No online support. No servers. Dated graphics. No customer service. No one is keep ing the game up except for dedicated fans who mod it to be playable with modern systems, so it has to be ded. LOL. I play it as often as I can to remember what REAL video games were like. Story, action and kick ass music.

But.. I KNOW... No one plays anything other than the flavor of the minute because someone on the internet says anything older is ded.

And, just so you know... there ARE actually people who still play and enjoy Destiny. I am not one of them, but I do know a few.

dunno what kind of words you think i used there, but cool story. What i meant here was, Bungie was bought by Sony a year ago for 3.6 Billions. It is the first Sony and Microsoft owned Triple A Studio worldwide with a DLC named Lightfall, which was the most pre-ordered Game EVER on Steam in the week it released.... Now you will find it mostly negative on Steam and you will also see the Layoffs and the announcements that there will be no more added content for the next 8 months, because they simply couldnt finish any Content in time A SIMPLE YEAR after the facts i told you above.

Thats what i meant with "ded". I never talked about the misleading feeling in your stomach, (look at your text, man!)... i simply talked about a Game obviously ruined by Money and how fast it can go.

There's very little evidence to support that people will just drop Warframe out of blue or that DE will cease development given how much of a cash cow it is.

Behind the scenes, the game is still insanely profitable, undoubtedly and the addictive model is sure to keep players playing for years to come. There's games such as Division and Division 2 with much less star power still somehow having an active community and the games are still profitable somehow.

Do you actually think that Warframe and Destiny have any chance of getting dropped going off of concurrent player numbers across all platforms? While I would love to see both die so something new can come along, no shot, I can't see either being completely abandoned in near future.

Hell, Halo Infinite is still kicking and look at that ♥♥♥♥ show. Actually, I think Destiny just based off of how much money it's somehow sucking out of Sony and Bungie might die faster than Warframe.
