Infestation on the ship

Ok, so I was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around on my ship because I was waiting on a friend and I jump around on the lower ship where the middle door it leading to[spoilers second dream]. right before you enter the middle door, to the left where there is a corrior door, there is infestation growing on the ship, and is this a hint for what is coming up next for warframe?

Infestation im pretty sure is a mutated version of the fleshy material inside of warframes. The Orokin accidently made it while trying to build the warframes. The Grineer later got their hands on some samples on it and now its loose. This is just a theory and I don't think any of it is confirmed yet.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the orokin made it on purpose to defeat the sentients. It wasnt an accident

I think you're right. I heard in the future you would be able to genetically modify the kubrow egg with kavat DNA (a full scan) and get a kavat of you're own. So the infestation is most likely a hint for a new kavat update/quest.
