The Operator as a kid "thing" (they do become an adult)

I see people complain all the time about the operator being a kid.

What I never see in those threads is someone mentioning even so subtly the fact that eventually your "kid" becomes an adult and that happens when you actually play through the campaign. Even more, you can then choose to swap between being kid/adult in the Operator screen.

and the most funny is almost nobody ever pick up the adult version i see soooo many high level players who have done or should have done that quest yet keep the child version

i liked being the kid but being the adult is something i never expected to be honest. and enjoy the adult. i think people still keep with the kid is the wide varity of customization unlike the adult version

Maybe they're relatively in the same age.

I personally chose the Drifter, because an old fart like me will be weird to play as a kid.

They don't become an adult, they're two versions of the same character from separate realities. The kid version in the Warframe reality was prevented from aging thanks to Uncle Wally, but the alternate version from the "Soulframe" reality grew up normally.

They don't grow up into the drifter.

An alternate timeline where the operator never interacted with the void and thus had time to grow and age normally became reality due to a paradox, and that version of the operator is named... the drifter.

while they are playable as an adult effectively, none of the cosmetics have been ported aside from hair yet really, so. Just a band-aid fix that's peeled half off as is.

Kid doesnt become adult. They are from separate universes where one grew up and the other didn't.

Pretty much this.
Warframe community used to be wholesome when it first started.
But as WF's fame grew, so did the amount of players.

Then we just kept getting more and more posts that's just about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, whinning, moaning. When there are alternatives to their "problems". Or some players just genuinely doesn't even sound like they want to play Warframe, but yet to refuse to move on, touch grass, or themselves.

I stay as the kid, because...

A. An extreme lack of customization options via DE not allowing clothing and such to not work on the drifter.

B. The drifter face blending looks very bad in comparison to the facial blend of the Operator. It's to the point that i was using a full face covering headpiece to hide the ugly.

So due to point A and B i use the Operator despite the better movement animations of the Drifter. I seriously hope DE took the time to address the above issues which after looking around i am not alone in having.

my starter frame was loki so im playin wf for awhile to say the least :D

i was happy to see wf grow and become more popular but that meant more players which also meant more trolls and winy kiddos
in a way i kinda wish wf wasnt as successful lol

sad to see soo many that are completely hell bent on complaining and crapping on everything around them and other peoples work .. im gettin socio vibes from some tbh

simple answer is, as others have pointed out, drifter is missing most operator cosmetics people spent plat/real money/grinded for with a dash of people are simply used to their funky little kid tennos

i'd expect that if DE ports more operator comestics to drifter and makes new drifter cosmetics drifter usage rates could balance out, least a bit more than current
