What the hell were they thinking with the new war requirements?

Requiring you to unlock railjack and necramechs is so idiotic. Forcing players like myself to farm for mats to make a necramech (which I dont even want) is beyond stupid. What were they thinking...

They gave away Necramechs, they made getting a Railjack super easy. In fact you can buy both with platinum. So if you don't like gathering materials for these things you can just collect prime parts and sell those until you have enough to buy these things. Lots of options. Necramech comes with arguably the best archgun in the game. It's worth it just for that.

What were they thinking? They were thinking the New War and subsequent content is for players that have unlocked everything and know how to play. It's not for people just starting out.

Playing devil's advocate here but its not like the railjack or the necromech is important in New War or anything.

The more you force someone to grind to get something they're not particularly interested in having... the more they will resent that the game is designed so that they cannot progress without it.

Personally I love railjack. But I also didn't have to grind for it to get to something else; I just got it because I was genuinely interested in the new space combat. anyone that only sees railjack as a ridiculously expensive key they need to unlock the rest of the main story will hate railjack before they ever even had a chance to try railjack.

Don't understand the mindset of disliking something you know nothing about. Warframe is wonderful in the sense that it has so much content. Why not give it a try right? When I got my Railjack it was 10x more work to get one, and I did it mostly solo. So this shouldn't be complicated now. Necramechs however are a bit of work to get. Most people that have played a year before New War came out would have one already, because the Orphix Venom event was doable mostly only with a Necramech. So the requirement was not that high for New War since most of the players already had a Necramech. I still say getting a necramech is worth it. It's super strong and the archgun alone is already worth grinding for.

Railjack and necramech should be side content, end of story. Forcing people to play through and grind for material to unlock a main story quest is stupid. I have zero interest in using a necramech but I'm forced to make one and worse yet Im forced to grind for it just to play the next part of the story, something that came out almost 2 years ago. It's stupid plan and simple.

I don't want to do it at all thats the problem. I was fine with going back and forth to make a railjack because thats content I actually wanted to do but this necramech ♥♥♥♥ is totally uninteresting to me I dont see myself ever using it and it seems to be even harder to unlock than the railjack.

I like railjack too but like you said I can definitely see some people hating that they have to unlock it to progress in the main story, especially if they're new and are just trying to get caught up.

It's really not an issue. It's supremely easy to do even as a new player. However, I know it can be difficult and overwhelming when you're unsure. Please feel free to reach out in Group chats in-game to try and find some help. Some people helping you through the grind can really make it fly by, not including the build times.

According to details you gave so far, I'll offer solutions here:
- If the real problem is you don't want to, it's fine, but you might miss out some features. You can still enjoy the rest that is accessible.
- I'm not the rule maker, I can't just pull out any contents I don't like, I simply adapt and use it to my advantage. Warframe always offer an alternative way of getting things.
- Mech parts are tradable, you may do some trading with people to get all parts without grinding... much.
- Mechs are pretty useful in their own way, such as taking down eidolon bosses with only few shots or able to wield Arcguns with infinite ammo, or having infinite revives, or more, you probably need more tools and options rather than dropping them all?
- If you find some parts of the game is too hard, give details, afaik 99% of the game content is for casual. very casual.
- Warframe grinds are long but if you play with your best friends (or some random cute gamer girls) it will be fun, unless you are anti-socialist, I guess.

You guys really just want to do everything without doing anything at all. News flash : Warframe is a loot based / grind based game, and like a bunch of games, stuff is going to have requirements and make you engage with the stuff they put in the game. If you do not like this type of system, then a grind based game like Warframe is not for you.

Ya its pretty crap especially when nobody even uses the railjack anymore. Necromech has it uses though especially if you get the upgrade to call it anywhere.
