Not quite, please stop twisting things into being dichotomized "yes or no" sort of answer things to suit your own agenda. And, highly alas, right now you're reminding me a lot of Vee with that usual self-righteous posture of his/hers.
If you even bothered to see many people's replies, including my own, we've pointed both the weak and stronger points of that quest alongside with also presenting solutions so that the OP (or anyone else feeling hardships) could get past The New War quest nearly unscathed.
Imho, most of the problem with today's gaming is that the current generations were taught to always expect instant gratification instead of having the feeling to have earned it through using their brain's prowess and some resilience tagged along to overcome the difficulties laid upon their path.
I happen to prefer the game as a stealthier and out of the rushing meta PVE things because it tends to be more fun to me that way, even if not as instantly resources rewarding as to others.
But hey, to each their own personal flavours and I happen to respect other people's PoV's regarding this matter... provided tha they can also respect mine diverging ones.
*Meh* I happen to have done it in a single run. And why? Because I happened to observe the Deacons patrolling patterns before deciding upon which path to take.
Rushing things won't always get where you want to be IRL either, so please start considering that other PoV's and different approaches into subjectcs are acceptable as well.
I didn't have an issue with it, but I could certainly see someone who does not jive with new war being pissed about getting stuck in a 6 hour honeypot that's nothing like warframe.
It's this, basically.

Except... not optional once you've started.
I'm lucky I liked it. It would've really sucked if I didn't.
I do think they should have made it in smaller chunks though. I always feel uncomfortably claustrophobic when I'm in one of those quests that lock you away from everything else for more than a run or two. I am never in the mood to spend a whole day or two on some quest.
I see The New War as necessary though. while the game play wasn't as fun as playing one of my warframes in a regular mission the quest was introducing us to new characters and game styles that we were going to be subjected to as normal missions from that point on; like Kahl's missions. And they made it as interesting as they could with what was really an interactive cinematic story.
The biggest complaint I have for it is just that they locked me into the quest - and nothing but the quest - until I finished it. It's too long for that.
A sample from a rather unbased Discord source cannot be compared with the metrics that were linked previously upon this thread.
I happened to have had a slight issue with The New War but I've enjoyed it throughtout the most part of it. Different mindsets, different opinions.
And since the linked majority still liked it, I'd even dare to say that democratically your PoV becomes sort of mute when compared to the majority.
Alas, most people these days tend to forget what reliable is and as a gamer since the rather ZX Scpectrum 'PC' days, I'm always leaned to enlighten the most likely younger masses that, highly alas, tend to mix up and confuse sound basis for information like new channels/ reputable news sites as opposed to anything used by the masses site(s)/program(s) users (like for instance Twitter, 'FaceBroke' or Instagram) that may decide to spew whatever they wish as if it was a sound, checked, verified and valid news source and/or information when it reality is isn's such.
