Are kavats worth it?

I have about 12 hours left before my kavat is ready to use. They look cool but i barely ever see other plays use theirs.
Are they worth it?

Smeeta Kavat do not give a +30% crit chance, they have a chance to flat increase ANY weapon to 200% crit chance. So they give you guaranteed orange crits, no matter how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the weapon was before. Also, Kavats actually have a better Loot vacuum than carrier (13m vs 11.5m I think) The only think they lack is carrier breaking open containers (which you can do whith coptering) and (imo the most important) carriers ammo cache converting ammo drops to the one you need. Though that is minor and I would never use a sentinel after having gotten my kavat now.

Ammo is never a problem 99% of the time anyways.

Resource double weekend + resource booster + smeeta charm = 8 orokin cells for every drop.

Carrier with the loot container mod can't be beat.

I see no reason to have a pet for damage, we already destroy everything. I can see a use for the increase drop, but the amount of loot you get from Carrier just breaking everything open and grabbing it for you, while you just bullet jump by, how can that be beat? Just the increase in Ayatan stars you will find from Carrier breaking open all the containers is more than worth it.

I haven't used carrier in months and I've never had any ammo problem, so it's useless unless you have an extremely ammo inefficient weapon. And most people have many hundreds of times more stars than they'd ever need.

Yes.. get the Smeeta one, it gives you sooo many benefit from chance to get crit chace to rare loot drop

Tbh, the only time I'm missing my ammo cache carrier is when playing any of the realy high fire rate dual pistols. Those actually can deplete your ammo faster than it drops (Twin Viper with 40 firerate for example^^))

Carrier love is from back when it was the ONLY one with vac. Now everything has it, and carrier is no better than any other floatybot type. I sometimes use a long range one with a DMR that does several hundred DPS. It can solo the first 2 or 3 rewards of a lowbie defense mission.

Ive been rolling out with my old sasha, who digs up ammo, power, and health as much as you want if out of combat (open world awesome), opens lockers, and is as durable as I am (lots of forma in her).

I havent had any luck with the cats, but again, my dog has a ton of forma and its hard to get motivated to swap. And now I have a moa to deal with too.

Smeeta is just great all around, the crit buff is common enough you should see it in every mission at least once. Medi-Pet, Fetch, and Primed Animal Instinct for essential QoL. Plus they can be quite tanky with Link Health/Armor + Pack Leader + Mischief + Tek Assault. Mine rarely ever dies.

There's also nothing quite like getting charm to proc twice in a row on Kuva Flood while you have a booster and walking away with 10k Kuva for 5 minutes of your time.

I almost never use anything else now. I'm actually slightly upset when I am pigeon holed into using Carrier Prime for a weapon that has terrible ammo economy.

i think the telling point that someone is familiar with the game is when they start using smeeta kavat as their pet. there is a clear cut line between pre kavat noob and post kavat veteran

Disagree. Permanent Chance for Crit from Adarza Kavat -> RNG to get Crit from Smeeta
My pet rarely dies bcs Inaros + Life Link. So the buff is pretty much up 95% of the time.

Ofcourse if i want to farm, Smeeta is the way to go. But Adarza is pretty much a Free 60% Flat Crit Mod Card that goes active every 20 ish seconds.
