I saw that less than 4% of players craft Zaws (steam achievement data). Are they not very good?

I'm a fairly new player to the game, and I just crafted my first zaw weapon. After seeing the achievement data, I'm wondering whether people recommend actually crafting these weapons if they are so underused. Is there a particular zaw configuration that performs better than others?

Why make a Zaw when I can have more fun using the ton of variety of melee weapon already available that I actually want to use.

My zaw deals anywhere from 500k to 3m damage, more with buffs and viral. I'd say zaws are pretty good.

also yes sac steel+blood rush does increase the crit tiers to red after 5x combo, without it and with just sac steel you get some red but mostly yellows.

that's the build I already have planned for when I am able to get plague kripath. Annoying that you can only get certain weapon parts like once a year :////

eh i never made one, too much grinding ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a place that bored me, and i wouldnt pay plat for something so so when i can pretty consistently annihilate everything with the weapon im using now

exodias are great and rivens are great but I have yet to make a zaw that outclasses my riven 5 dispo melee weapons. YMMV of course.

Yeah Zaw or not,no melee weapons can do better without bloodrush,condition overload,berzerker,crits multiplier,stats mods & some other mods.its all mods & your crits or stats build.But i think Zaw can get you a good red crits if you can find a good combi mods.
