My fingers get so tired doing the crouch dash thing, any setup to alleviate this?
What I'm referring too is that speed boost thing when you press crouch and jump while moving and you do some air dash. I got turned off from this game mainly because my fingers felt like they were literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dying, is there a better setup that won't kill my fingers? Like I play GW2 so I'm used to spamming my keys, but for some reason the combination required to do that air dash hurts my fingers so much.

I know this is a really weird and dumb sounding post, but this game looks so awesome and fun to play but I value my fingers over the better F2P Destiny.

I had to remap crouch from CTRL to Q and move the radial menu to my mouse side buttons. So this way I dont have to pres CTRL and SHIFT with one finger,it really helped my hand

Okay I know this will most likely annoy you, but I am serious when I say it. It isn't that bad and your fingers will get stronger and it won't be so bad.

You mean bullet jumping? The one where you press ctrl and then space to jump? I don't really see the need myself but I guess you could make a macro that does that with just one press of a button.

I personally just use my little finger to press ctrl and thumb to press space while rest of my fingers are on wasd.

I personally use "C" as crouching and the space bar to jump.

That way a "bullet jump" as it is called is more or less a roll of my thumb away.

I literally just put the tip of my thumb down on the "C" key to slide and if I want to make a bullet jump I put the rest of the finger down on the space bar.

I think the default keys make you use CTRL + space bar... I cannot think of a way to make that smooth, though. I've played like I do for the last 4 years or so and I never had any complaints.

Of course YMMV (your milage may vary).
Means, maybe you don't like the setup I proposed.

In that case, just play around with the controls. Maybe even put some functions on the mouse instead. Or use a gamepad. I wouldn't judge.

you need to make your fingers stronger, it is very sad to hear someone gets pain from pushing buttons.
I would suggest getting that rubber thing to work out like 10-15 minutes per day, or more fun way would be to get a guitar or some other string intstrument and start playing. Guess piano would still fit there as nice finger excercise. Even drums.
There are tons of youtube tutorials on each possible instrument so it is easy to get into it, beginner instruments are cheap, mosty for 60-80$ you get full set with all accessories.
Drums are bit mroe expensive but you can find used set pretty cheap.
It is fun to play.

as you may feel pain now from pushing buttons but if you do not make your fingers stronger in 20-30 years you will feel pain when you have to wipe more than 2 times.

Your main problem is your pinkie probably as that is least used finger. So work it out.
If you are getting cramps then you lack electrolites which means you either do not drink enough water, or you eat trash food only, or your circulation system is f-ed - in any way you should not give up to not using fingers - you need those.

There's probably a store in your area that sells straws.

You can use one to suck it up.

bind jump to mousewheel up and crouch to mousewheel down and you just hold control button and use your mouse wheel you are welcome

Crouch toggle is on default on V, meaning your thumb is resting between space and v naturally. So using that instead of ctrl is way better imo.

Mapping crouch to Shift, and interact to C helped me a lot, but it still puts some strain on your little finger.

You can also try mapping crouch to C, and interact to mouse 4 or 5 instead (I would avoid using your keyboard hand, since it likely impedes with your movement).

Experiment.
You're playing on PC. Make use of it.

Would be nice if this got more attention. Sprinting's so much slower than the other options that you find yourself doing them even when not needing platforming, and it causes a lot of hand strain.

If you have a Multi button mouse setup a macro
If you don't you can use a 3rd party keyboard app to setup a macro

I rarely use that dashing spam. It's annoying. If others who join me do it, guess I clear the node faster. ;)
