Special-K Injector can get you banned, do not enable Global Injection
This happened to me twice months ago, and I'm trying to return to the game at the moment (waiting on my support ticket to be addressed). I noticed there isn't a recent thread about this really, so I'm making a quick thread that can be locked if needed.
In the first ticket, a Staff member mentioned it just looked like something funny was happening and they unbanned me, but the second time it happened I got frustrated and stopped playing. Realizing its likely the Special-K injector I had installed for Nier: Automata, I uninstalled the Injector version. If anyone still uses the Injector, do you know how to disable for specific games or do you just not use the overall Steam thing?

I have special K on Nier automata, but I kept it usable for only that game. Nothing else enabled. I can still play warframe and never had a problem with it.

is it the Wrapper or the injector program? The one that auto updates? Idk It kept running over warframe, and at first I didn't think anything of it until it got me banned.

I don't know much about it, but it looks like there's a way to install it to be game specific (non-global). I found the guide, so I hope this helps:

Pretty much I'd try going to the local subtab and follow that.

Just set it up to only run when you run the intended game. Forgot how to do it since I set it up months ago and forgot about it. I hardly play Nier at all these days. The WF client checks what programs are running on your computer, and raises a flag when it finds something fishy even if it's not directly affecting it. Like for example, many people have told me that you can get banned if you just run Cheat Engine even if you don't point it to any program or open any cheat table. WF client apparently detects it and auto bans you. But if the program is just installed but not running, you have no trouble with it.

I'm gonna follow the Manual install guide in the mean time for Nier, since I haven't finished it. As for WF, I'll have to comb over my Processes before I run the client just in case. Now to wait for the support ticket to get responded to ;A:
Thanks again guys for the help tho

The CheatEngine part is true, happened to me a couple of monthes ago... had warframe running in the background in case I'd have some hits on market, and ran CE to check an updated table for a game (I think it was Enter the Gungeon...).
An hour later I got a lifetime ban on warframe, and took me two weeks to get my ban lifted... I even got scolded by the support like a kid for that.

eh, I feel the scolding was unnecessary if you were not messing with their game. No right to tell you what to do with your other games at all. But whatevs… It shows how sensitive their client is and gives a scope on how much it can see on your system.

It took 21 days for my first ticket to get responded to, but I think I was unbanned after a week after my ticket

Special K is a piece of software made by a steam user to fix some games that were performing poorly in PC. For example, Nier Automata was very poorly optimized on PC. Special K gave it a few settings the user could toggle to make it perform better. In my own experience, Special K transformed my Nier Automata game from something that barely ran on a GTX 680 superclocked into a game that could even run on a tiny mobile GTX 460M.

This software is not needed for WF because this game is very well optimized. There are also no WF presets nor functionality in Special K. BUT, it seems WF client sees the software as a malicious cheat injector because some of it may use similar avenues to achieve it's optimizations.
