This update introduced so many broken mechanics that there is no way they will be able to fix all of them within a week or two. They might add an option to opt out of the lich stuff but it's not guaranteed.
Forcing players to do something they don't want to do = players stop being players.
Honestly, I haven't even played it since they introduced the lich thing so I never came to know it to be a problem but it sounds like people do not enjoy it. Why successful developers kick their playerbase around and do the things they do is beyond me. It really is true what they say about success: some people just can't stand it, handle it, and will go out of their way to cease it from being.
At least they brought back melee blocking, taking that away was pretty dumb.
It's annoying sometimes.
I already set my region to NA and the ping with NO LIMITS.
Until you do the sortie and he steals your riven mod, or he steals that ivara part you just spent two hours farming spy missions for, or that Axi relic you have been trying to get all day. It seems they didn't think this through.
