I'm new and I was wondering what the best support Warframes are. I already can see Trinity is good for that but I'm looking for tips on the best support Warframes. Ones that can support damage dealers. Cheers.

Trinity supports damage dealers by supplying them with energy, and healing them.

There is no reason at all to use healers in this game(but few missions), everyone is a tank, everyone deals ton of damage and everyone can heal himself. Just smash a random button till you kill everyone. Now do that for thousand of hours till you will get you rare glowing ribbon.

There are quite a few.

Perma invisibility is better than tanking in this game.

It actually sounds kinda funny, but Rhino is one of the best support frames if you mod him right. His armor gives him a solid amount of bulk, which means you don't have to babysit yourself or get babysitted like some more fragile frames do. His Roar is agreed to be one of the best buffing abilities in the game. His stomp, while not the best CC move in the game, is still amazing at stopping a crowd that is getting out of hand. I can tell you that very few people will be mad to see a decent Rhino player on their team. Unlike other Warframes, Rhino can be gotten VERY early in the game. He was my second ever Warframe and I still use him regularly on Sorties.

Oberon is supposed to be a hybrid frame but honestly isn't that good at offensive abilities, and is outclassed as a healer by Trinity. Trinity is the best full-support Warframe just because health + energy restoration is amazing. (It's also fairly difficult to get all the parts for Oberon.)

I've heard good things about Equinox but haven't gotten my hands on her to test it personally.

If you want to be cheesy and be a self-support, go Wukong. A semi-decent Wukong is utterly unkillable and his Cloud Walker is the fastest ability-based healing in the entire game, but it only heals yourself and your Celestial Twin.

Oberon's healing is different because it only needs to be applied once, and it sticks as long as he doesn't run out of energy. He can also give bonus armour to people who step in his Ground, and Phoenix Renewal can sometimes come in handy (Arbitrations especially). The main tradeoff is that his healing is slower.

Trinity is a lot stronger at healing, and can resupply energy, but the tradeoff is it takes more active ability use and she lacks other things like a team armour buff.

So in the end they both do healing, but they do it in different ways and have different upsides and downsides

Being productive, I'd also like to point out that even Mr Sandman has the ability to heal teammates via his 2 and 4. teammates can devour enemies under the effects of his 2 and allies (and their companions as well) within range all recover when he casts his 4 on an enemy.

I think it's easy to understand you can just take trinity and have 70% damage reduction. nova has damage red, mesa has invulnerability, zephyr same, nova same and so on...oberon has health regen and increased armor. and everyone can use arcane repair... then if a guy asks what's the best healer, ok trinity only for just 1 mission and for arbitration defences, don't think people need an healer to heal other players.

Don't forget Nezha has the chakram to drop healing orbs. Tanks with his armor and the augment to the chakram makes it killer. He also has an augment to put his warding halo on others.

Oberon is my favorite, but Wisp is also effective, and Trinity if you can get your hands on her (but Trin is nowhere near as versatile as Oberon).

Oberon can give both HP regeneration AND extra armor, which is super nice. Been my primary frame since I got him 4 months ago.

Uhm everyone keeps talking about Oberon but is missing one of his most powerful abilities.

Single cast full armor strip.

So on top of healing, rezzing, extra armor, status immune, CC he has the single biggest damage buff in the game.

Oh and Trin is good too I guess. The single biggest damage dealer in Rathoom.

But no Honestly so many frames have incredible party support in some form or the other.

I mean noone has mentioned Nyx, Octavia, Ivara yet.

OP was asking for who could support damage dealers. Mesa can support damage dealers with her lasso.

as for your poorly worded question, here are the potential answers, depending on how i was supposed to interpret that:
A) "Who plays mesa to support another DPS?" No one, but any reasonably competent mesa player is going to build in such a way that it lasts for quite a while and provides a significant buff.

B) "Who supports mesa's damage output?" Mesa herself since shooting gallery (what I referred to as lasso earlier) is always active on her over the duration. but literally anyone who buffs damage will buff mesa's dps.

I'll give you Nyx and Octavia, but how the hell would you call Ivara a support? genuinely curious
