Hmm, fastest way I've found to kill them is with my zaw; Plague Keewar, Kroostra and Vargeet II Jai. CO + crit(blood rush) + Viral and Clashing Forest stance build decimates even when starting at 0 combo (usually if you only use melee and have enough duration you keep it at least about 2x, if not even higher)
Problem is keeping up with them so they don't just run away from you. Incapacitating them would be for the best, but when I tried using for example Volt (his ult stuns/electricutes them), I die too quickly, at least when I tried it in simulacrum, but then again, Demolysts don't really attack you in missions, they just run for the conduit...
I find the idea of my getting to 20k solo (alone in my clan) is ridiculous, yet I've heard of people doing it...
For me, popping Khora's '2' snare then unloading a high damage weapon like the Rubico modded for raw damage into it's head works fairly well, sure there's other similar combinations.
Arca Plasmor is terrible in general, it's greatest strength is that you really don't need to aim it. If you spent the amount of forma and resources that you spent on the Arca instead on something else, you'd have a decent weapon. He's talking about level 150 enemies, not level 30.
The Ropalolyst also suffers from this with his 1 hit KO lasers.
DE has absolutely no clue how to design an enjoyable, well balanced, engaging fight. So they do the only thing they know how to do which is give the enemy/boss invincible phases so you can't kill it quickly, or give the enemy the ability to energy drain and/or nullify, or design them to kill you instantly, or make them so tanky that you won't want to play any longer than needed because you simply can't kill anything.
I was in a group pushing 10k points, the Demolysts at the end were level 180~ and even with a Khora and 4 players shooting it we reached a point where we couldn't kill them. The energy drain was preventing the Khora from stunning it, the null was stripping me of Vex armor, and we couldn't make a dent to his health because of how bad scaling is.
Players have been saying for years they want a challenge, DE has been trying for years to understand exactly what that means while stuffing the game with crap like this.
Plasmor is good for whipping groups of enemies, but when something tanky comes it starts to fall short since it isn't good at focus fire, if you want to kill specific targets is better a high precise weapon.
