how to get cetus wisps

i have a amp part that needs cetus wisps and the mask of the revenant also needs them. Someone please tell me how to get them. I saw the youtube tutorials and did them but it aint working.

They have a chance of spawning so you have to keep trying. It's best during night as they spawn more then.

So look near body of water.

i have done about 6 runs and found 1 cetus wisp before doing this discussion

Get both the Loot Detector mod + Thief's Wit, fly to all the masses of water, there's any point in the minimap? Can be a wisp. There's nothing? Fly to the next.

3-4 wisp in day time, 5-6 in night time, x2 using a booster. Doing 2~mins runs (entering and leaving the plains) you can farm'em easily (yet you'll get tired soon enough).

This map shows the spawn locations, just fly to the water pools and check the minimap. You should be able to run across the whole map, get out and repeat every 2 mins (using Itzal).

All good except don't waste time on flying arround every water as above said, only explore the lake left from cetus gate and then that big center lake, why not bother with all lakes?, bcs the big lake holds usualy most if not all wisps so there is no point checking every tiny lake out there, there gonna be 1-5 wisps per trip at night this way, once circled arround those both lakes, go back to cetus, then repeat the process untill feeling satisfied with the loot. Also no need to have loot mods, tho guess if got archwing and alot of that loot detection then guess could hover over the lakes as mentioned above, tho bullet jumping all arround is fine too considering they are rather easy to spot when close. Smeeta kavat also helps, their loot buff stacks so with tek enhance mod and a bit of luck, could get like 8 from a single grab, had it happen once.

1-3 per loop is about what you can expect.

As said above the best time is at night.

My Loop is usually.

Straight and a little right to the lake.
Jump across and turn left follow it around until it loops back.
Now go straight to the Horns ponds.
From there back to the lake and come down the side you haven't explored.
Back into the Cetus Gate.

You fully explore the 4 most common spawn areas in about a 3 minute loop with a Nova or Speed volt.

Loot Detector Mods will help a great deal until you've learnt the spawn locations. But it still helps when moving between the Lake and the Horns as it can detect a Cetus Wisp spawn over any of those other bodies of water you will travel over.

For me doing bounty is easier to get cetus wisp than go looking for it around the lake.I've recieve alots of cetus wisp by doing bounty mission than finding them.Tell you something,i've seen only 1 time a cetus wisp appeared on the lake in my entire 5 mths of playing WF!You know whut it looks like?it looks like a small sentinel eidolons face but its flat like a plank & if you dont catch him quickly enough,hes gonna fly up & up & dissapears.Dats my 1 time finding them & i dont even get it.i was too surprised for my first time & i just watched it dissapears ":P

Best bet to get them quickly is to:

1. Do get yourself some loot detector mods- either for your frame, Sentry, pet or ANY combination of those that work for you. They stack so combining is well advised.

2. Get the Archwing- any of them will do as it only is for letting you get around faster

Best place if you are a lower level is to check the pool a little to the left after leaving cetus and all around the gara toht lake, as the spawns of the wisps there are pretty common. You find none- get out and try again, as every time you leave they get rerolled.
