No offense to you or anyone else genuinely trying to help people with these tests, but posts like those are why I started doing this in the first place. They're useless or pretty close to it.
Myth exists that it is possible to let go of LMB while playing Ignis but I am yet to encounter a living soul doing that.
I understand you can use weapons with high ammo amounts and ammo restores. The point I’m trying to make is that I want to try and beat these with as many different weapons as possible and I shouldn’t have to blow thru my ammo restores to do it. They could simply refill my ammo completely instead of just giving me one “magazine” or “clip”-whatever you want to call it-when I run out.
Sure, in some cases you CAN force the tool into an inappropriate job; I have a friend with enough moxy and stubbornness and most of all map knowledge that he'll do spies exclusively with his Frost Prime. But frames like Loki and Ivara, and even Mirage with her ability to disable security devices, will do the same job much more easily.
There were multiple occasions on Mastery tests where I failed repeatedly (either practice or even qualifying) until I finally figured out the right combination of frames/weapons to make the job easier. Like using Banshee in conjunction with a gunblade on the stealth tests that prohibit you taking any guns, to use her silencing passive and snipe enemies from afar, or using Ash's teleport to get to objectives quickly, or using defensive/CC frames and Specters on the ones that force you to defend multiple points.
I just don't understand why, in a game that has SO many assorted tools and tricks potentially at one's disposal, one would get mad that they can't force just the one specific cube they want to use into the round hole.
That being said, it IS kind of silly not to refill your ammo between failed attempts. But that's just all the more reason, to me, to take note of this odd quirk and use something with better ammo economy instead.
I agree with you except when it comes to the mastery rank tests.
