How do i extract from plains of eidolon

I don't know either, except for going back to the Cetus gate, and that thing is really hard to find.

i imagine you have to return to cetus, until you can call your arcwing but it would be nice to call your orbitor in for pickup.

DE should make the Cetus gate a waypoint by default, green colored like the standard extraction waypoints for missions not in PoE.

Look for the big tower. You can see it from pretty much the entire map.

and once you have reached the sea when going for the big tower, turn around and follow the blue wall back to the gate. It will only take you ten extra minutes or so. I would pay real money for that green marker.

You already have a marker.
It's called "The big-ass tower that is visible from almost every point on the plains and can easily be identified by pressing M and looking at the map".

Or you can just pull up the map with M. The gray area is wher ethe gate is. When you enter the plains take a peek at the map and you'll see what to look for when you want to find the gate again.

Also it shouldn't take more than about 2 minutes to cross the entire map if you're using bullet jumping and slides. It'll only take roughly 10 seconds if you use an archwing. There's no way you would take 10 minutes going form one place to the other.
