Controller Problems HELP

Im looking for possible solutions for get my controller re-working. Im using Xbox Series X (wired in) on windows 10 with the XInput settings from ToolsUS folder (the controller config). Its working perfect one day all buttons mapped and functioning. The next day nothing works. The controller is working for every other game ive launched with and with and without steam.
Ive searched many threads to find solution but still nothing found. Anyone else have this problem where its working then all the sudden nothing?

Vibration works but nothing else. Enable game checked, Force feedback checked, Enable XInput checked.

ugh just ran into this, a year of no problems and now it won't register inputs. I've tried every fix out there and no luck sadly,

similar, my D-pad just simply no longer works with the game like wtf?

I fixed it on my end. I had to disable all "HID" labeled items under Human interface devices in device manager, to get the controller setup to recognize my Xbox controller.
Also remember to enable "show hidden devices".

Then you should be able to map the controls and use dpad or one of the dropdown configurations in the controller config for FFXI.

I tried every fix out there and it ended up being as simple as that. Hope it helps if you haven't tried already.
