So, I've played off and on since near the initial release, and this latest break started about the time Omen & Dynamis Divergence were added. I see a few threads hinting about an uptick in player base, which is a nice surprise as well. Stopped partly due to the point in the end game grind I was in and also life stuff. I'm just curious what the important things and changes to be aware of would be since when I last played....

From what I've understood, there is still a cult following of FF11 players and fans, but are there any active players? Or did everyone just migrate over to FF14?

I prefer slower methodical old school MMOs and this game is on my radar.

I last played at the launch of Wings of the Goddess and thought the raid was kinda ok, but not as good as Beseiged... so that's about where I'd put it. edit: fixed a typo
