not a fan of the new ui
I've been playing this game for almost 8 years now, and I've seen a lot of changes, a lot of them are really cool, and make the game a lot more fun. however I've noticed something about this most recent update, the graphics are awesome, yes but,not only is my dinky laptop on the verge of bursting into flames. but this new ui is borderline unplayable, I think it'd be nice to have an option to chose the old ui over the new ui, something like minecrafts "programmer art" texture pack that allows the player to chose between the old textures and the new textures. Maybe have a ui option called "classic ui" because this new ui isn't very good in my experience, its very restrictive and takes away a lot of the tools/features or makes them quite difficult to access/do. like how do i convert a single fragment into a full body now? like why is the tidally lock button in "overview" now? this new ui is very confusing and inferior to the old ui.
I really love this game and have loved it for longer than i've played it. it might not sound like I love this game, but I do. I'm just trying to give feedback

What I miss is the atmospheric fireball/ionization from collisions.

Thank you for the feedback, we do appreciate it.

Our updates to the UI were mainly in part to try and make it easier to use and make it easier to find and access many of the tools that were previously hard to find.

We've moved many of these buttons, like the Tidally Lock, Convert Fragment to Full Body, Settle Liquid, and more to Action buttons at the top of each tab so they're more discoverable and don't require scrolling through a long list of buttons and other properties.

We've moved somethings that we think are a little more fun, like Tidally Lock and Explode, to the Overview tab to make them easier to find and use, but we do also include the Tidally Lock button in the Motion tab. If you can't find the Action you're looking for, you can expand the list of Action buttons at the top of each tab as well.

In addition to the new Action buttons are there other aspects of the UI that you find are making Universe Sandbox more difficult to play now?

Can you tell us where we can find the option to lock certain parameters like Mass or Radius or Density?

You can still lock the Mass, Radius, or Density of an object from the Overview tab of the Properties panel.

The easiest way to do this is to slightly adjust the object's Radius and then adjust it back to make the lock symbols appear. You can then choose which of those three properties you want to hold while the other two change by locking that property.
