Simulating life

I think it'd be awesome if we could simulate life on a planet. I'd like to see how civilization would affect the planet. We could see a species evolve, we could see nations, planets, or even entire systems at war. We could watch cities develop and launch their own satellites and ships, they could colonize other worlds. An ability to control this would be nice as well.

That is something I would absolutely love to see.

Thanks for the suggestion. We are working on adding basic life simulation with vegetation spreading across planets and dying or growing based on specific simulated conditions, and we'll have more to show on that in our 2025 Roadmap post next year.

Having complex simulated life on a planet the way you described is a bit beyond what our current simulation capabilities are. There are entire other games dedicated to just simulating different nations across Earth as it is! That doesn't mean it will never happen or we can't do it, just that it's a bit beyond what we're currently planning for life simulation in Universe Sandbox right now.

i think limiting it to plants and animals could help since civilizations sound like you said a bit too complex for the game
