We are currently working on some graphics updates that will include improvements to atmospheres and how they interact with light, among other things.
You can edit the properties of a ring you want to add to a planet by
1. Selecting the Add tool
2. Going to Rings
3. Selecting the Ring you want to add
4. Selecting "Advanced Settings" in the upper right of the Add tool (the icon with 3 horizontal lines with dots on them)
5. Changing the settings as desired
6. Selecting the object you want to add the ring to
7. Select the "Add Ring to Object" button
While you cannot currently change the inclination that the ring will have around the planet, you can set the Planet Alignment to "Body", add the ring, then rotating the object 90 degrees, and then set the Plane Alignment to "Universe" to give it a second ring.
